Ogarev Mordovia State University is situated in city Saransk, capital of the Republic of Mordovia, which is 625 kilometres towards the south east of Moscow. The University was founded in 1931 but only granted the University status in 1957.

It is important for all the international aspirants to inform the international office about the precise dates of their arrival in the university at least a day prior to their arrival.
