In India, all medical aspirants are aware of the fact that National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is extremely important to secure medical admissions in India for various medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, BVSC & AH, Nursing, Pharmacy, Ayush, etc. The NEET exam is now mandatory for even those students who want to pursue their MBBS degree from Abroad, as per new rules. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted by National Testing Agency every year and this year it had been conducted on 12th September 2021. So all those students aspiring to pursue their degree from any other country also need to appear as well as qualify for the NEET Exam 2021. After qualifying on this exam, then the medical aspirants can proceed for their further process of counseling sessions for various medical colleges in India. All the candidates are now extremely excited to know their scores.
As the examination, has now been successfully conducted all over India, and all the medical aspirants who have appeared for the entrance exam can collect their NTA NEET Result 2021 along with the NEET cut off scores for all the categories i.e. General, ST, SC, OBC. The minimum scores that are important to secure on this entrance exam for enrolling in any best medical university in India changes every year. Officially, it has been recorded that, the Neet 2021 Exam has been taken by approximately 15.5 lakhs students all over India. As per last year’s statistics, only 7,71500 candidates managed to pass the exam by scoring minimum NEET percentile score, out of 15,97,435 test takers. Moving further, the passing ratio will only be available when the NEET UG Result 2021 will be officially declared on its website. The scores are important for the entrance and the board will select candidates only on the basis of the scores obtained by them on this entrance exam.
The minimum passing scores for NEET 2021 will be decided by the officials only after taking into consideration of the candidate’s performance on this entrance exam. For general category candidates, the NEET UG 2021 cutoff is 50th percentile, respectively whereas for ST/SC/OBC and general-PH candidates, NEET qualifying percentile is 40th and 45th percentile, consecutively. Precisely, NEET cutoff scores last year, 720-147 was for the general category, 146-113 was for ST/SC/OBC. In consultation with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and Dental Council of India (DCI) NTA may reduce the NEET cutoff, in case of any vacant seats left.
The NEET merit list 2021 will be prepared by NTA on the basis of NEET cutoff scores. , the admission to 15% All India Quota (AIQ), 85% state quota, ESIC/AFMS institutes, deemed/central university, AIIMS and JIPMER colleges will be done. Depending on the NEET 2021 cutoff, admission to 15% All India Quota, deemed/central university, AIIMS, JIPMER and ESIC/AFMS will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. Various state counselling authorities will conduct admission procedure for 85% state quota seats on the basis of NEET 2021 cutoff. Medical aspirants who managed to score more than the actual NEET cutoff score will become highly eligible for securing admissions in the best medical University in India. But, however as the Neet cutoff varies for medical aspirants belonging to unreserved and reserved categories, the possibility is reserved category students are more likely to secure in any best medical university in India, irrespective of low scores as compared to unreserved category students who have secured highest than them. Recently, the Dental Council of India, reduced the NEET cutoff by 10 percentile for securing BDS admissions.

Under any circumstances, if the score of two or more test takers is equal then the knock out round criteria to break NEET cutoff scores will be considered. The following mentioned steps in order of preference will be taken into consideration to break the tie of the NEET result. As per the latest update on NEET 2021, this year the method of using age to break the tie has been cancelled.
